Речь не идёт о том "как задать каталоги намереваясь произвести поиск", тема названа (и не случайно) иначе.

Согласен! Был не прав. Просто вспомнил другую тему, где это могло пригодиться.
Ну, а сценарий Batya для дерева каталогов по-моему соответствует теме.
